MAG Into The Valley Rally Friday 01 – Sunday 03 May 2026
Yorkshire Region attended the MAG Into The Valley Rally at Driffield Show-ground over the May Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 01 to Sunday 03 May 2026.
The stand was manned by West Yorkshire Representative Steve Greasley, who was attending his first ever Rally and his first event as a Representative!

The weather was fantastic (for the Friday and Saturday at least!), with the weather averaging 22 degrees and glorious sunshine, which made a nice change from the Thursday when there was a strong wind which didn’t help the setup process at all (I’m sure anyone who’s ever put up a marquee feels the struggle involved when the elements are against you!).
After a slow start on the Friday Morning (most Rally attendees didn’t start to arrive until after 0900 hrs), the crowds steadily built until the first nights entertainment kicked off in the evening, along with the supply and consumption of plentiful amounts of beverages (mostly alcoholic I’m reliably informed!), with one of the 2 music venues being located directly behind where the stand and the team were bedding down for the night, finishing playing music (very loudly which is, I believe a legal requirement at such events!) which ended at about midnight, with Rally goers talking and socialising until about 0200 hrs!
Saturday Morning started a little chilly, but soon started to warm up again with a beautiful blue cloudless sky. Although there were some very sore heads (no names, no pack drill – if you know, you know!) from the night/early morning before, the days activities started at 1300 hrs in earnest with an ‘Old Peculiar’ bike show where we managed to shamelessly advertise the Riders Branch by supplying the MAG Marshals for the event with Riders Branch Pucks for those bikes taking part that used side stands on the grass (there was even a bike that was using blocks of wood to hold it upright after having new tyres fitted and not being able to use its centre stand!). The evening entertainment kicked off properly at 1800 hrs with a comedy show and then the music began again in earnest, with again people talking until about 0200 hrs (even though it had started raining – or as I heard shouted several times, “pouring liquid sunshine!” – by then!).
Sunday morning carried on with the rain and although the Rally wasn’t due to finish until 1200 hrs, nobody visited the trade stand areas, however, the food and coffee vendors did a brisk trade before the majority of attendees started the wet journey home.
All in all an excellent weekend was had by all and we now have the National Rally in Cleethorpes (24 – 26 July) to look forward to, as well as the MAG Farmyard Rally (19 – 21 June) being held the week after and the MAG Yorkshire Pudding Rally (31 July – 02 Aug).
As a region, Yorkshire would be happy to see any of you that attend these rallies in the future!
