Modern waterproof gear was put to the ultimate test as members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch (RBLR) gathered on the coast for the annual Amlwch Classic Car and Motorcycle Show.

The event, renowned for bringing together a vibrant collection of vintage automobiles, classic motorbikes, and proud owners from across the region, faced a classic British summer challenge: non-stop rain. While the gleaming chrome on show received an extra, unsolicited rinse, the damp weather failed to put a dampener on the dedication of the RBLR crew.

Representing the North Wales contingency, branch members Daz, Gareth, Steve, Gale, and Phil suited up and braved the downpours to set up the RBLR stand. While lesser mortals might have stayed tucked up at home with a hot brew, these dedicated riders proved that a few raindrops—or a persistent deluge—are nowhere near enough to stop them from supporting the cause.

Throughout the day, the team chatted with hardy showgoers, raised awareness of the Riders Branch, and reminded everyone of the vital work carried out by the Royal British Legion. Thanks to the generosity of the wet-weather visitors who braved the elements to view the classic machinery, the team managed to raise £63.27 for the Poppy Appeal.
