The Vale Vintage Machinery Show

It was a fantastic day out at the Vale Vintage Machinery Show on Saturday, 4th July 2026, as Riders Branch members G. Moses, S. Jones, D. Elie, A. Boyle, S. Phoenix, and Phil Jones rolled in to fly the flag for the Royal British Legion. The team put on a brilliant display of their motorcycles, drawing plenty of admiring glances from the crowds and managing to ring up a wonderful £70.76 for the Poppy Appeal. Of course, setting up camp at these popular heritage shows is about much more than just shaking a donation bucket; it’s the perfect opportunity to chinwag with the public, swap biking stories, and spread the word about the fantastic community and vital mission of the RBL Riders Branch.

The Vale Vintage Machinery Show is an annual outdoor field event featuring a vast collection of historic machinery, from steam engines and classic tractors to vintage cars, motorcycles, and military vehicles. Held at Ty Ucha Farm in Pen Y Cefn, Caerwys, Flintshire (CH7 5BQ), the weekend-long show brings heritage to life through live working exhibits, arena parades, tractor competitions, and historic enactments. Beyond the machinery, visitors can explore a large craft marquee showcasing local goods, enjoy live evening entertainment and a licensed bar, browse a variety of trade stalls, and check out family-friendly attractions like a funfair and a charity dog show.
