RBLR members from Lancashire joined together over the weekend of 15th–16th August to represent the branch at the hugely popular Lytham 1940s Weekend.

The annual event, which attracted an estimated 50,000 visitors across the two days, saw Lytham Green transformed into a bustling window into the 1940s wartime era. The weekend was packed with live 1940s singing, period dancing, historic military vehicles, weapons displays, vintage traders, and a strong presence from military charities.

The RBLR stand proved to be a popular focal point throughout the event, giving members of the public the chance to stop by, admire the bikes on show, and find out more about the branch’s work in raising funds for the RBL Poppy Appeal. The atmosphere across both days was fantastic, with steady crowds taking the time to engage with the team and show their support.

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of the public and the hard work of all the members on site, the event raised a grand total of £1,427.82.
