Yorkshire Regional Meeting 25th April 2026

The second regional meeting of the year organised by Jay Moreman (Yorkshire Regional Rep) kicked off today with 24 members making the journey to Lister House in Ripon, the turnout wasn’t just “good”—it was fantastic. The day was a perfect blend of community spirit, heartfelt causes, and, of course, a healthy dose of biker humor.

Around it was a good meeting but one of highlights was a captivating talk by Allan Shaw about Models for Heroes (M4H). Allan shed light on the incredible work the organisation does, using the focused, meditative hobby of scale modeling to support the mental health of veterans and emergency service personnel.

Naturally, the unofficial mascot, George the Dog, was in attendance to provide some four-legged moral support. George was a hit, though he seemed more interested in the social scene than the technicalities of plastic kits!

After the meeting adjourned, the camaraderie continued as members stayed to mingle with the residents. It didn’t take long to find common ground; several residents turned out to be old bikers themselves. The room was soon filled with the low hum of nostalgia as stories of vintage machines and long-lost road trips were shared across generations.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a regional meeting without some lighthearted ribbing. Jay managed to provide the comic relief of the day by performing one of his signature U-turns. As the group joked, it’s “nothing new” for Jay, but it certainly added a familiar flourish to the afternoon’s departures.

See you at the next one—hopefully with fewer U-turns!
