Luftwaffe Cross laying
Continuing a long tradition of the RBL (70+ years) remembering the young men of the Luftwaffe who lost their lives during WW2 and are buried in Castletown Cemetery in Sunderland we will be holding a brief service and placing a remembrance cross on each of their graves at 1100hrs on Saturday 25th April at Hylton Castle Rd, Castletown, Sunderland SR5 3EG, UK.
RV for this event will be the MacDonald’s at Boldon NE35 9PB ready to move off at 1030 hrs.
Following the cross laying I will be making my way up to Chevington in Northumberland to then take part in the ANSAC service taking place at 1400hrs (see separate event) if people would care to join me and attend both (there will be a stop for lunch on the way at Cramlington services)
