East Midlands Region

To make organisation and management of the Branch easier, we organise ourselves into Regions, and within these are Counties. Each Region has its own Regional Representative and within the regions each county has a county Representative. The county’s within the East Midlands region are:

  1. Derby
  2. Leicestershire
  3. Lincolnshire
  4. Northamptonshire
  5. Nottinghamshire

Motorcycling in the East Midlands delivers a superb mix of open landscapes, iconic roads, and rich two-wheeled heritage. From the sweeping climbs and bends of the Peak District in Derbyshire to the fast, flowing roads of the Lincolnshire Wolds and the quiet rural lanes of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Rutland, the region offers riding to suit every mood. It’s also steeped in motorcycle history, with legendary venues such as Donington Park, the Triumph Visitor Experience at Hinckley, and Cadwell Park—often called the “Mini Nürburgring”—all firmly on the biker map.
Perfectly placed at the heart of the country, the East Midlands makes it easy to enjoy anything from a relaxed evening ride to a full day exploring neighbouring regions, whether that’s deeper into the Peaks, across to the Fens, or further afield toward the North or Wales.

  • Snake Pass (A57) – Iconic riding road linking Glossop to Sheffield, with sweeping bends and dramatic Peak District views.
  • Bradgate Park Loop – Quiet country lanes around Newtown Linford and Markfield, great scenery and wildlife.
  • A5 Hinckley to Atherstone – Historic Roman road with long straights and sweeping bends.
  • Lincolnshire Wolds Loop – Riding through Louth, Market Rasen, and Caistor with rolling hills and open views.
  • Rockingham Forest Roads – Quiet, tree-lined routes around Corby, Oundle, and Fineshade Woods.
  • Sherwood Forest Loop – Scenic ride through Edwinstowe, Ollerton, and surrounding woodland roads.

The RBLR community in the East Midlands is proud, welcoming, and united by a shared commitment to riding with purpose. From the rolling roads of Derbyshire and the Peak District to the wide open landscapes of Lincolnshire and the historic towns of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Northamptonshire, riders come together to support remembrance and service. Whether staffing Poppy Appeal collections, attending parades and memorial services, or representing the Royal British Legion at events large and small, the sense of camaraderie and dedication is unmistakable across the region.

The spirit is unmistakably East Midlands: steadfast, down-to-earth, and driven by pride, purpose, and a genuine love of the road — always riding in support of those who served.
