Bikers in general — and veteran bikers in particular — are never ones to turn down a hearty breakfast and a good old chin-wag. So when news broke that a new Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC) was opening in Llangefni, on the beautiful island of Anglesey in North Wales, the decision was an easy one.

RBLR members Phil Jones, Martin Moyse and Gareth Moses from North Wales mounted up and rode along the coast to Llangefni, undeterred by temperatures hovering between 0 and 2 degrees and icy winter roads.
On arrival, the now frozen riders were given a warm welcome at The Bull in Llangefni by North Wales County Representative Steven Jones and his amazing wife, Gayle Jones. As well as being RBLR members, Steven and Gayle are both deeply involved in the new Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club.
The breakfast — and the coffee — were most welcome, with the coffee served piping hot and just what three partly frozen bikers needed. After spending time meeting the local members and enjoying a good old natter, breakfast was served, and it has to be said it was extremely scrummy.
The breakfast club itself is deliberately informal — simply a group of veterans enjoying a good breakfast, sharing stories, and taking the mick out of one another in that familiar way you only do when you’re “in”.
The club meets on the first Saturday of each month at The Bull in Llangefni at 1000 hrs, so if you’re ever in the North Wales area and fancy a great breakfast in a relaxed and very informal setting, just come along. All veterans are welcome.
