management of the Branch easier, we organise ourselves into Regions, and within these are Counties. Each Region has its own Regional Representative and within the regions each county has a county Representative. The county&#8217;s within the Wales region are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Durham And Cleveland<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Northumberland<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tyne And Wear<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorcycling in&nbsp;the North East offers some of the most varied and dramatic landscapes in the country\u2014coastal roads, moorland, forests, rolling countryside, and historic towns all within easy reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Region is full of rider-friendly routes with sweeping bends, open stretches, Castles, Roman sites (including Hadrian\u2019s Wall), heritage railways, and centuries-old villages make rides especially scenic and interesting. The North East has a strong motorcycle culture, with plenty of biker caf\u00e9s, meeting spots, charity ride-outs, and events. Hartside \/ Durham Dales Loop:<\/strong>&nbsp;This route offers constant elevation changes, fantastic views of the North Pennines and plenty of smooth sweeping corners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B6277 \u2013 Middleton-in-Teesdale to Alston:<\/strong>&nbsp;One of the best B-roads in the region. A narrow scenic mountain road hugging rivers and climbing to moorland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kielder Forest Circular Route:<\/strong>&nbsp;Dense forest, open reservoirs, and twisty roads that offers great wildlife spotting, perfect for adventure bikes and touring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tanfield Railway Loop:<\/strong>&nbsp;A mix of twisty back roads that follow the historic&nbsp;Tanfield Railway&nbsp;and has the Beamish Museum nearby.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what North East Regional Representative Steve Newton has to say about the region:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The North East Region of the RBLR is split into three counties,&nbsp; Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Durham and Cleveland with a Regional Rep along with 3 county reps.&nbsp; We tend to work together as a single region rather than as individual counties and all events are open to all members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The region offers not only some of the best and probably some of the quietest biking roads the UK has to offer but is ideally placed to include runs to neighbouring areas such as Yorkshire, Scotland and the Lake district ensuring there is plenty of variety available for ride outs etc.&nbsp; As well as supporting national Branch events such as the Annual memorial Ride to the NMA each May and the Branch National Rally we also try or organise at least one weekend or longer trip away each year.&nbsp; These usually take place around Easter and then again later in the year and usually see a good number of riders from other regions joining us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We fundraise for the Poppy Appeal throughout the year and while we do attend a number of smaller events such as local shows and the Armed Forces Day event at South Shields we concentrate on running the Poppy Appeal at the Metro Centre.&nbsp; This is a huge undertaking and requires a lot of time and commitment from members from all over the region over the Poppy appeal period.&nbsp; For this reason we try not to wear peoples fund raising batteries out during the rest of the year and to concentrate on having fun the majority of the time and to leave our main Poppy Appeal efforts for late October and early November.&nbsp;
