On the 11th of May 2024 I have organised a ride around Wales, this is to coincide with the National Conference and also to mark the 20th anniversary of the Riders Branch, the ride will start and finish at Celtic Manor, so far interest is pretty low so as this branch is called RIDERS branch lets do some riding, here is the schedule:-
For this ride, you will need to take a photo of you\/your bike, at the following places:-
1. Celtic Manor Resort, Caerleon, Newport NP18 1HQ
2. Memorial Hall, Presteigne LD8 2UG
3. The Tivoli, Brunswick Rd, Buckley CH7 2EF
4. Caernarfon War Memorial, Castle Square, Caernarfon LL55 2PR
5. Aberystwyth War Memorial, 1 Alexandra Rd, Aberystwyth SY23 1LE
6. War Memorial, Maeshyfryd, St Dogmaels, Cardigan SA43 3ES
7. St Davids Cathedral, The Pebbles, St Davids, Haverfordwest SA62 6RD
8. Celtic Manor Resort, Caerleon, Newport NP18 1HQ
Also make a note of the start mileage and finish mileage, again a photo would be preferable.
As this will be a long day I suggest an early start, 06:00 from Celtic Manor should mean a reasonable finish time of +- 21:00.
I have done the route on both Google Maps and TomTom, however you can plan your own route as long as you go to each place.
Please remember this is NOT a race and you will be riding under your own insurance, the RBLR\/RBL will not be held liable. If you feel tired stop have a rest, make sure you stay legal and follow the rules of the road. Be aware that you are representing the RBLR when out on the road.
