{"id":619,"date":"2024-02-08T14:07:54","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T14:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rblr.org.uk\/test\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=619"},"modified":"2024-02-08T14:09:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T14:09:02","slug":"national-conference","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/rblr.org.uk\/main\/events\/national-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"National Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Conference is the biggest RBL Membership event of the year.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is regulated by the Royal Charter and&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>includes the following:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;annual accounts report, the Director General\u2019s address and voting on motions brought by delegates from their branches and counties.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Annual Conference is a great opportunity to catch up on Royal British Legion news, meet fellow members and RBL teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition promises an exciting and interactive space where visitors and members can visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishlegion.org.uk\/get-involved\/ways-to-give\/shop\/poppy-shop\">Poppy Shop<\/a>&nbsp;and other exhibitors, speak to our teams on a variety of subjects such as Branch Finances, Membership Services and learn first-hand about RBL&#8217;s plans and ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Conference 2024<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Annual Conference 2024 will take place a week earlier than usual. The exhibition, Women\u2019s Section Forum and Overseas\u2019 Forum will take place Friday 10 May, with Conference opening on Saturday 11th\u202fMay and concluding on Sunday 12th May. Virtual attendees will be able to view the business of Conference that takes place in the main auditorium over the two days via live stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be a hybrid event, with in-person attendance at the stunning, purpose-built International Conference Centre (ICC) Wales, in Newport, Wales, just off junction 24 of the M4 and a short ride away from Newport Station.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Annual Conference is the biggest RBL Membership event of the year.
