4th November – RBL Gateshead field of Remembrance dedication
There are 6 Fields or Remberence nationally each year.
Westminster, The National Memorial Arboretum, Cardiff, Swindon, Belfast and Gateshead.
As a Region we are We are privileged to host one of these Fields which are always a fantastic tribute to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice at Saltwell Park, Gateshead. Each Field is formally opened with a Service of dedication which this year is taking place on Saturday 4th November.
The Riders Branch has always attended this service and while good weather cannot be guaranteed our presence is noted by the numerous dignitary’s present.
While riders are free to make there own way there if they wish (by car if you wish) I will also be heading out from MacDonalds Silverlink at 0945 hrs to ride over if you wish to join / follow me.
Best place to park is the small and on this day busy car park at East Park Road, NE9 5AX,
