DESCRIPTION:\nMaintaining a long tradition of laying a cross on the graves of the 11 Luftwaffe personnel buried in this cemetery each Easter started over 65 years ago by Mrs Mary Reid and continued by the Riders Branch since she passed away.\n\n\n\nRV 1000hrs Boldon McDonalds – Boldon Leisure Park, Kirkstall Road, East Boldon, Boldon Colliery NE35 9PB to depart 1030hrs and ride to Castletown Cemetery, Conyers Close, Sunderland. SR5 3EP.\n\n\n\nFollow few words and the exhortation we will place a poppy cross on each of the 11 Luftwaffe crews graves followed by a cross on each of the Commonwealth War Graves within the cemetery.\n\n\n\nWeather permitting this will be followed by a ride down to Seaham for some lunch.\n
